Louisiana Lawmakers Vote on Side of Life

Lets hear it for Louisiana! Rep. Gary Beard introduced a Bill that basically calls for erring on the side of LIFE! Something every State needs. Under a bill passed by the Louisiana House, family members could be restricted from removing feeding tubes from a dying relative who is sustained by assisted feeding.

According to THE EMPIRE JOURNAL:
"Under the Louisiana current law, nutrition and hydration administered through feeding tubes is considered a life-sustaining procedure just like CPR. Such tubes could be removed with a doctor’s recommendation, if family members agree and if the patient’s living will indicates that he or she does not want to be kept alive on life support. Under the new bill, assisted feeding would no longer be classified as a life-sustaining procedure. If a patient’s living will doesn’t make a distinction between life support and feeding tubes, they would have to be kept alive with the tubes."

Must READ IT!
