AMA Fighting the Window to the Womb!

OOOOOOO The AMA is Running SCARED! They want to outlaw ( No doubt being pushed by PPF and other death-suckers) Ultrasound pictures. Especially nice is the newer ones 4-D. I like those.

From Reuters:
Keepsake ultrasound "portraits" of fetuses are not medically appropriate and should be discouraged, the American Medical Association's House of Delegates stated at its annual meeting here this week.

Recent advances in ultrasound technology, including 3-D image capacity, have made the "pre-birth" portraits popular, which prompted the Missouri delegation to the House of Delegates to ask the AMA to go public about the risks of the practice.

Mind you these procedures are SAFE!

Continuing...
Dr. Van Heeckeren, a thoracic surgeon at University Hospitals, Cleveland, Ohio, added that "fetal ultrasonography is considered safe when properly used. And although there is no evidence to suggest that exposing a fetus to unnecessary ultrasound is harmful, strong support was voiced endorsing its use only where there is a clear medical benefit to the patients."

Mind you they have been doing Ultrasonography for the past 20 some odd yrs. It has only been recently when PRC's ( pregnancy Resource Centers- Alternative clinics to abortion clincis) Started using them as a window to the womb to dispel the rumors from the death loving cultures of Planned Parenthood and other kill mills that it ISN'T a BABY- When it IS a baby! PRC's have found that when women headed for the abortion mills are shown their Babies growing within them- When women see it IS a baby and not just a clump of cells they ultimately change their minds on abortion! This has Infuriated PPF and other kill mill Drs.- See Window to the Womb and the Fight to Stop them

Continuing from reuters:
Dr. Marilyn Laughead, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and a delegate from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, said, "Although there is no confirmed biological effect of ultrasound known today, there may be some effect identified in the future. For that reason ultrasound should be used only for medically indicated purposes."

Let us hope the BIG BRO stays out of this all together! We have been making strides in cutting the abortion numbers. We still have a long way to go, but this is a GIANT leap in the right direction!
